Hair


Step One: Start with dry, wavy hair that's parted slightly off center. Use a rattail comb and tease the crown for volume.


Step Two: Gather top half of hair (the teased section) and pin it back, leave out a few front pieces.


Step Three: Fold a silk or satin scarf horizantally to make it narrow (however many times is necesarry to look like Serena's). Next put it on top of your head, in front of the teased hair at the crown, and tie into a knot. Bobby pin the scarf on the sides using pins that match your hair or the scarf.

Steps


Step One: Start with damp hair that's parted on the side. Once hair is about 70% dry take the top half of your hair and twist and clip it on the top of your hair. Blow dry the bottom, down section straight. Then let down the top half and blow dry that section straight.


Step Two: Curl hair with a large barrel curling iron. For a video how-to go here.


Step Three: Take the top, back half of hair and make a poof and secure with a hair claw.


Step Four: Pull sides of hair behind ears, bobby pin it if necessary. Use a small amount of hair spray, keep can at least 6 inches away from hair. Finish hair with a skinny bow headband.

Hair


Step One: Apply a smoothing/straightening serum through damp hair, Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum is a good one. Make a deep side part, align the part with the arch of your eyebrow.




Step Two: When hair is about 50% dry, take the top portion of hair and twist and secure on top using a sectioning clip. Then take the middle section and twist and clip.




Step Three: Spray the bottom section of hair with a thermal protector. Using a paddle brush blow dry the bottom portion of hair. Brush hair to different sides to stretch & straighten it out. Make sure your hair brush has a diffuser extension to prevent frizz. Unclip the middle section, spray the protector, and then blow dry, repeat for the top section.




Step Four: Once hair is completely dry, section hair again like in step two. Flat iron your hair section by section using a 1" flat iron. Chi is an inexpensive professional flat iron. Apply a finishing spray & your done!




Makeup


Eyes: Apply an eyeshadow primer on lids. Next, using an eyeshadow densly packed eyeshadow brush, pat on a gold eyeshadow. I recommend Urban Decay's in Midnight Cowgirl.


Then line your upper lids with a black gel eyeliner. Use an angled eyeliner brush to put it on. Make sure the line is thick and slightly winged. Use a black twist up eyeliner to line your lower waterline. Use a fine eyeliner brush and put on gold eyeshadow below your lash line.


Finish with black volumizing mascara.


Lips: Put on ChapStick, then apply a pink shimmering lip gloss.
